New Update on Gymtastics Safety Protocol as of Thursday, September 23, 2021

Restriction Exemption Program:

We have received more clarification from AHS, the Alberta Gymnastics Federation and Calgary Municipality Vaccine Bylaw. For Gymtastics to continue offering our programs the only option we have is to follow the Restriction Exemption Program. We ask you to please offer our staff patience as we navigate the ever changing time. This has been quite the journey for all of us! This Program will be implemented Thursday, September 23, 2021.


Any participant entering the building that is 12 years old and over including parents assisting children in a parented program (GymTeenies, GymTots, GymTykes, GymTidbits) will need to show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results received in the last 72 hours along with a government issued ID. To get a copy of your vaccine records please go to:

*Proof of vaccination includes:

  • Valid photo identification (only required for adults 18 and over) that matches the vaccine record

  • Valid paper or digital vaccine record that shows name, vaccine type and date of administration

  • From September 20 to October 25: proof of partial vaccination (one dose) is considered acceptable as long as the dose was given more than 2 weeks before the time of service.

  • After October 25: proof of full vaccination (two doses) is required.

*Proof of Negative Test includes:

  • Tests must be privately-paid, Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR test completed within the previous 72 hours.

  • Valid test results should be a written or printed copy that clearly outlines the type of test, time of sample collection, clear indication of a negative result, and laboratory that completed the test, if applicable.

  • Do not bring completed self-tests or rapid tests to businesses due to communicable disease risk.

  • Tests must not be from Alberta Health Services or Alberta Precision Laboratories.


Viewing will be limited to adults with their children attending our preschool programs 5 years and younger. Those in the viewing room will still have to have masks on, safe spacing requirements and Proof of vaccination or negative test results must be shown before entry.


Masks are required for everyone over the age of 2. Screening: Those entering the building will be required to a Covid and illness screening check confirming they have no symptoms.

Children under 18
